Privacy Policy
No Contact: AI Coach — effective 11 August 2026
The short version: there is no account and no sign-up. Your journal, letters, moods, and streak live only on your phone. Coach chat is processed in the moment to generate a reply and is not stored on our servers. What you write is never used for advertising and never sold. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous: purchase events, paywall interactions, and app-usage counts, none of it tied to your name, email, or identity — we never have those.
No account
You never create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or phone number. Nothing in the app is linked to your identity, because the app does not know your identity.
What stays on your device
The personal content you create in the app is stored only in the app's private storage on your device (and your device backups, if you have those enabled):
- Journal entries and unsent letters
- The red flags vault
- Mood check-ins
- Your no-contact streak and milestones
- Your onboarding answers and recovery plan
- Lesson and exercise progress
None of this is transmitted to us. We cannot read it, and deleting the app deletes it.
Coach chat
When you message the AI coach, your message and a small anonymous profile (your goal, selected focus areas, and day count — as internal category ids, never your name) are sent over an encrypted connection to our server so the AI can generate a reply. Messages are processed transiently: they are used to produce the response and are not stored on the server, not logged, and not used to train any AI model. The same applies to text you paste into analysis features.
Purchases
Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. To unlock your subscription across reinstalls, our subscription processor (RevenueCat) validates App Store receipts and stores purchase events under a randomly generated, app-scoped identifier — not your name or email.
Paywalls and offers
Our paywall provider (Superwall) decides which offer screen to show and records anonymous events about it: that a paywall was shown, tapped, or led to a purchase, along with device-level information such as language, region, app version, a random install-scoped identifier, your device's vendor identifier (IDFV), and the same anonymous onboarding categories described above. This is used to operate and improve the offers, not to identify you.
Usage analytics
To understand which features help, the app may record usage events — for example, that a breathing exercise was completed or a milestone was reached. These events are counts and category ids only. They never include journal text, chat text, or anything you type, and they are stored under anonymous identifiers only.
Ad measurement
If you arrived through an ad, we measure that the ad worked, in privacy-preserving ways:
- Apple Search Ads: we ask Apple's AdServices framework whether this install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign. This uses no advertising identifier and reveals nothing about you personally.
- Aggregate conversion reports (SKAdNetwork): Apple sends ad networks anonymous, aggregate install reports that cannot be tied to an individual device or person.
- The tracking permission prompt: the app may ask for iOS tracking permission solely to let the ad network that brought you here measure its own ads. If you decline — which is always fine — the app works identically and only the aggregate reports above are used.
What you write in the app is never used for advertising in any form.
Reminders
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are optional, and their content is generated on-device.
Data retention and deletion
Your content lives on your device, so deleting the app deletes it. Server-side, chat messages are not retained at all; anonymous purchase and usage events are retained by our processors (RevenueCat, Superwall) for as long as needed for subscription management and analytics. Because these records are not linked to your identity, they cannot be looked up by name or email — but if you have any privacy question or request, contact us and we will help: info@slideai.ai.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies: we process chat messages to provide the service you request (performance of contract), anonymous purchase and analytics events in our legitimate interest of operating and improving the app, and ad-measurement data with your consent where consent is required.
Children
The app is not directed at children and is intended for users old enough to be navigating a breakup. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the app before they take effect.
